DAPA states plans to expedite development of AESA radar

With the recent decline of the US government to transfer core technologies for the KF-X program, DAPA has announced plans to expedite the development of the AESA radar and to domestically develop the IRST, EO TGP, and RF jammer. ADD is establishing plans to expedite the AESA radar development, conducted by LIG Nex1, by three years to conduct the test development from 2017 to 2021. The SW for the AESA radar will be acquired from foreign sources to be installed in the HW that will be domestically developed. The plans also stated that the initial production of the KF-X will be equipped with third-country AESA radar and indigenous AESA radar will be installed in following batches.
