nK states intentions to launch satellite and operate nuclear facilities

In an interview with KCNA, the director of the nK space agency NADA announced plans to conduct a satellite launch, perceived as an ICBM launch by other countries, to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the KWP. Following this announcement, in another KCNA interview, the director of AEI indicated that nK has fully restarted all nuclear facilities at the Yongbyun Nuclear Scientific Research Center including the uranium refinement plant and the 5MW reactor, and that they will respond to US and hostile threats with nuclear weapons if attempts to overthrow the regime continue.
In response, the ROK government announced that this grave provocation will be a direct violation of UN Security Council resolutions and will be met with prompt and firm response under the cooperation of ROK, Security Council members, and related nations. The ROK military stated that there currently no signs of an imminent ICBM launch at the Yunsong Missile and Space Test Complex, although the launch site expansion is in its final stages.
